Kelly’s Maple Peanut Butter Cookies

Kelly is part of our extended family, a lovely lady with a knack for baking. So here we have her maple peanut butter cookies, a delightful treat to keep on hand for a sweet pick me up.

A delicious little cookie that pairs lovely with a cup of tea.

  1. 3/4 C barley flour
  2. 3/4 C buckwheat flour
  3. 1/2 tsp baking powder
  4. 3/4 tsp baking soda
  5. 1/8 tsp salt
  6. 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  7. 1/2 C butter
  8. 1/2 C sugar
  9. 1 tsp vanilla
  10. 1 egg
  11. 1/2 C all natural chunky peanut butter
  12. 1 Tbsp maple syrup
  1. In a medium bowl, mix dry ingredients and set aside.
  2. In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar. Blend in the egg, vanilla, and maple syrup. Add the peanut butter.
  3. Gently mix the dry ingredients into the wet until just combined.
  4. Roll into 1 inch balls and place on prepared cookie sheets.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
